Fall Prevention Day • Register • View Cart •

Join us in welcoming the fall season at Fall Prevention Awareness Day 2025, taking place on Thursday, September 25, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brighton Winter Farmers Market – “The Barn” (1435 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY 14618). 

Wheatland Senior Center participants can ride the bus to and from this event.  Please register by 9/22.

Enjoy a variety of engaging activities, including:
  • Balance assessments
  • Tai Chi and Urban Soul Line Dancing
  • Healthy eating samples and resources with Barb
  • Information on stroke prevention, hearing loss, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and more
  • Community partners such as Doyle Medical Monitoring and Flaum Eye Institute
 
The general agenda is the following:
10:00 am: Event begins, Urban Soul Dancing with Lady P.
11:00 am: Demonstration: How to get up from a fall, Nancy Gombert
11:30 am: Tai chi 73 Demonstration.
12:00 pm: Pizza and salad served, lunch for guests.
12:15 pm: Fall Prevention BINGO
