Wheatland Recreation Summer Camp offers a wide range of activities and experiences as well as a social interaction. At camp, the kids stay active in a safe setting as our program is certified with the Monroe County Department of Health. We have responsible, fun, CPR & First Aid certified counselors and will maintain a staff to camper ratio of approximately 1:6 (K-2 grade) and 1:10 (3-9 grade) We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity this summer for games, crafts, athletics, socialization, new friendships, confidence building and much more!
The Town of Wheatland Recreation Summer Camp 2026 Program will be held at Johnson Park in Scottsville, New York for six weeks (6) this summer (July 6 - August 14) for children ages 4 through 14 (4 year olds must be kindergarten eligible - 5 years old by December 1, 2026).
The Summer Camp Program runs from 9am to 1pm Monday through Friday of each week. “Before Care” (7:30-9am) and “After Care”(1pm-4pm) Programs will also be offered this year. This year we will offer 6 weekly sessions so you can choose to attend 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 weeks of camp.
We will have at least four field trips this summer for our summer camp participants only. There is an additional registration fee and permission slips for field trips. More information will be announced soon.
Summer camp participants must bring a bag lunch and water bottle each day. We do not have refrigeration available so please use a thermal lunch bag with ice packs. Please make sure the lunch bag and water bottle are labeled with their name.
Campers should wear sneakers every day. Sandals, flip flops and street shoes are not recommended. Please dress your child appropriately for the weather and activities. We will be outside and we will have some messy crafts.
We understand it can be difficult to cover the expense of camp all at once so we have added a new option which allows you to pay a deposit and pay your remaining balance over the next several weeks. All accounts must be paid in full by July 1! Registrations not paid in full by July 1 will be cancelled. There will be no refunds of summer camp registration fees or deposits.
